The contract involves the renovation of the municipally owned "Former Covered Market," a freestanding courtyard structure constructed of load-bearing tuff masonry. The complex is located in the city of Taranto and houses the new municipal offices. The contracting entity, the Municipality of Taranto, awarded COEDIL SUD the renovation and redevelopment project, which involved both interior and exterior work on the entire building, including the renovation and waterproofing of the roof. Particular attention was paid to structural interventions and seismic retrofitting.
